There will be no physician on site in the emergency department at the hospital today, March 26 from 11 am to 4 pm. Nursing staff will remain on site in the emergency department providing triage and assessments and referrals for patients to alternate emergency departments in surrounding communities. EMS will remain available in the community as per standard procedures and will work with the local health care centre to ensure residents continue to have access to the emergency services they need.
